A Holy Week Head's Up

Deanna and I hope you have a wonderful Holy Week...but since we're called to be holy just as He is holy every-moment-of-every-day-of-every-week, what we're really hoping is that you have a holy LIFE!

In the Old Testament, God commanded His people to observe special "holy" days, but only the high priest could enter the Most Holy Place (Holy of Holies) and only once a year. This Sunday we will celebrate the day that changed all that, once and for all! Christians worldwide will celebrate the tearing of the veil and the unveiling of New Covenant life in God's presence! (Brief Scripture references)

AND YET, if we're not careful, Easter Sunday can get dumbed down to "invite an unsaved friend to church" day. This Holy Week, let's be mindful that WE are the very co-laborers Christ commands us to pray for in Matthew 9:37-38 and that the Great Commission is a 365-days-a-year lifestyle made possible "by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil."

Happy Easter beloved...
Tom & Deanna

P.S.
Sorry it's been awhile since you last heard from me. Between our mailing list crashing, my dad's health (two more strokes, but he and my mom are doing well), Adam and Michelle coming to visit from South Korea (wonderful) and an extremely full calendar of both pastor-at-large and pastoral-care travels this first quarter, I've only been home a handful of weeks since September. Thank you Jesus for strength!

Thanks.

Tom
